Indications:
Meningococcal meningitis vaccine is recommended for everyone, especially those traveling abroad, or living in dormitory settings. 

When to give:

Every 5 years if in areas or occupations with inherent risk. 

Contraindications:

Meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine during pregnancy have no documented adverse events among either women or neonates ( less than 1 month of age).* (Information current of July 2006, check with your physician for any updates)
