Immunoglobulin

Indications:
For the immediate and short term protection against exposure to diseases by persons with no previous vaccine immunity, or limited residual immunity. 
Immunoglobin treatment is indicated for individuals with no immunity and recent significant exposure, or travel to area where exposure risk is high, for the following enities:

Hepatitis A & B
Rabies
Rubella
Measles
Tetanus
Kawasaki

When to give:

Contraindications

Note:  If given at same time or close to recent vaccination, consider that vaccine potential is diminished. If varicella or MMR vaccines are to be given after immunoglobin has been given, refer to CDC Yellow Book for time to wait before vaccinating with MMR or Varicella
